"Shared Ground" with Flora Fabris, Ceramicist - 2026

 

With ceramicist Flora Fabris, who is based in SE London, we are exploring the relationship between wood and clay through paired functional forms. The idea of the collaboration is that while the forms are paired by shape, they're not identical.

 

I collect the shavings from my work along with other discarded pieces of the same species, which I then pass to Flora who burns them to create wood ash for new glazes.

 

The work explores material transformation, shared forms, and the relationships between making, process, and use. It's a meeting of forms born from two materials and two practices.

The collaboration saw its first public viewing at Craft Festival, Bovey Tracey this June.
